OBAMA'S LATEST BETRAYAL

Gay marriage debate last week provided media cover for a hideous law drafted by Monsanto hidden in a spending bill. 


Last week, while the mass media was distracting us with gay marriage in the Supreme Court, the Obama Administration and Congress enacted far more deadly legislation under the radar. 

 

Nicknamed "The Monsanto Protection" Act, HR 833 (including deadly sec 735) gave the Globalist cabal control of our food supply. 


1.) The "Monsanto Protection Act" effectively bars federal courts from preventing the planting of genetically engineered (GE) seeds, no matter what health issues may arise concerning GMOs in the future. 


2.) The provision's language was apparently written in collusion with Monsanto. According to an article published Monday in the New York Daily News, US Sen. Roy Blunt (R-Missouri) "worked with Monsanto to craft the language in the bill."  



Meanwhile the FDA (Food and Drug Administration) has a 'revolving door' for Federal regulators to walk over to lucrative jobs (payoffs) with Monsanto or Big Pharma.  


ACTION ALERT - This is a "Conflict of Interests".   This is what we, the public must attack.  


3.) Many members of Congress were apparently unaware that the "Monsanto Protection Act" even existed within the bill they were voting on. HR 933 was a spending bill aimed at averting a government shutdown and ensuring that the federal government would continue to be able to pay its bills. 


"In this hidden backroom deal, Sen. [Barbara] Mikulski turned her back on consumer, environmental and farmer protection in favor of corporate welfare for biotech companies such as Monsanto," Andrew Kimbrell, executive director of the Center for Food Safety, said in a statement. "This abuse of power is not the kind of leadership the public has come to expect from Sen. Mikulski or the Democrat Majority in the Senate." 


Mikulski has the audacity to tell the Baltimore Sun that she doesn't support the 'Monsanto rider'.


ACTION ALERT - Such stealth amendments that have nothing to do with the main body of an act are called 'riders'.  This is what the public must attack. Demand abolition of such amendments.  Only amendments germane to a bill should be allowed. 


4.) On Tuesday, Obama gleefully signed HR 933 while the Media focused on the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral argument concerning California's Proposition 8.  National Public Radio devoted their entire show to the hearings to avoid reporting the news. 


Obama knew 250,000 voters had signed a petition against it because Food Democracy Now were protesting in front of the White House in view of his office window. He signed it anyway with a smile. 


5.) It sets a precedent that suggests that court challenges are a privilege, not a right.

 Hungary has taken a bold stand against biotech giant Monsanto and genetic modification by destroying 1000 acres of maize found to have been grown with genetically modified seeds, according to Hungary deputy state secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development Lajos Bognar. Unlike many European Union countries, Hungary is a nation where genetically modified (GM) seeds are banned. In a similar stance against GM ingredients, Peru has also passed a 10 year ban on GM foods.
Almost 1000 acres of maize found to have been ground with genetically modified seeds have been destroyed throughout Hungary, deputy state secretary of the Ministry of Rural Development Lajos Bognar said. The GMO maize has been ploughed under, said Lajos Bognar, but pollen has not spread from the maize, he added.
Unlike several EU members, GMO seeds are banned in Hungary. The checks will continue despite the fact that seek traders are obliged to make sure that their products are GMO free, Bognar said.
During the invesigation, controllers have found Pioneer Monsanto products among the seeds planted.
The free movement of goods within the EU means that authorities will not investigate how the seeds arrived in Hungary, but they will check where the goods can be found, Bognar said. Regional public radio reported that the two biggest international seed producing companies are affected in the matter and GMO seeds could have been sown on up to the thousands of hectares in the country. Most of the local farmers have complained since they just discovered they were using GMO seeds.
